Stanford Pride organizes events designed to create a community that supports Stanford students, alumni, faculty, and staff who belong to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Intersex (LGBTQQI) community. To this end, the organization has begun an oral history project to develop a permanent repository of alumni testimonials about the evolution of LGBTQ life at and around Stanford.
Funded by Stanford Associates and led by project interns Matt Kelly and Bonnie Krejci, the oral history project collects testimonials in audio, video, and written formats. Stanford Pride encourages alumni to contribute to the project by recording a group discussion or a face to face conversation with fellow alumni. The project leaders are also seeking assistance from individuals who can help with interviews and post-production work as it prepares the results for presentation at the Reunion/Homecoming reception on October 24, 2018.
